PICTURE ROCKS BMX/SKATE PARK IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION!

The Picture Rocks BMX/Skate Park, located in Picture Rocks Community Park at 5615 N. Sanders Road, is now well underway. The approximately 10,000 square-foot park is funded with 2004 bonds awarded by the Pima County Neighborhood Reinvestment Program for a grant proposal submitted by Citizens for Picture Rocks with the support of District 3 Supervisor Sharon Bronson and the crucial assistance of Bennett Bernal.

The park was designed by Site Design Group following a series of meetings with local BMX riders and skaters, parents and community members. General construction and contracting is being done by M. Anderson Construction Corp., with specialty work to be completed by California Skateparks. Project Manager is Jason Bahe of Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation. Grand Opening festivities are tentatively planned for February 2010!
